***DAILY DO’S – WEDNESDAY 7AM EDTION***
We’re all driven to help out in difference ways. Some people are especially drawn to helping out with a specific cause. Here are a few ways you can make a difference on specific issues. Want to spread the word about an issue that matters to you? Call it out in the comments below.
1. Are you passionate about the environment? Sign up to tell the Senate “WE CAN’T TRUST BIG OIL INSIDERS WITH THE HEALTH OF OUR FAMILIES AND OUR ENVIRONMENT.” The Climate Reality Project, a non-profit organization involved in education and advocacy related to climate change is leading the call. Learn more here: https://www.climaterealityproject.org/bigoil
2. Do you want to help others in moments of crisis? Sign up to be a voice of hope. There are a number of phone hotline, text lines, and chat lines where you can volunteer to help those struggling with depression, LGBTQ identity, and other life struggles. Here are a few resources to get you started. Know of something local, mention it in the comments.
3. Want to provide support to prison inmates? Through Write a Prisoner, inmates pay a small fee for the friendship and moral support of a pen pal, and those funds go toward programs that help in providing resources to prisoners and reducing crime and recidivism. Provide hope and create change by becoming a prison pen pal: http://writeaprisoner.com/
