***DAILY DO’S – TUESDAY 7AM EDITION***
It’s pretty quiet on Capitol Hill and in Olympia this week, which means it’s a great time to get informed and prepared.
1. Looking for a way to keep up to date with important legislation in Congress? The Sunlight Foundation has you covered. Sign up to receive notifications when Congress schedules a vote on a bill. (https://ifttt.com/sunlightfoundation) This will be especially important in the coming months as the new administration looks to quickly push through conservative legislation. Commit to helping others stay informed by calling out dangerous new bills as they’re introduced.
2. Many of you have already engaged with your elected officials (and deserve a big KUDOS for it). For those of you who haven’t reached out to your reps in Congress and for those looking for ways to be more effective, check out this fantastic guide on how to make Congress listen: https://www.indivisibleguide.com/. Share your favorite tips in the comments below.
3. It’s time to send out thanks again. Last week President Obama dismantled the existing Muslim Registry in an effort to keep DJT from using it. Call the White House at 1-202-456-1111 or tweet @WhiteHouse. To read up on the program: http://slate.me/2h6tzML
